Warringah Freeway Bus LayoverNo funds for bike path - TAKE ACTIONThe RTA/Transport is planning to build an area for the formal layover of buses alongside the Warringah Freeway in the vicinity of the Cammeray entrance. This layover will result in the removal of the freeway shoulder, which is currently used by some cyclists, both during construction and once it is in place. Due to this loss the RTA is planning to signpost a detour route via Merremburn Ave, Brook St, freeway on-ramp, Amhurst St, Miller St on-ramp. There is also the possibility of some improvements to the poor quality path alongside the Warringah Freeway beyond the end of the shared use path (SUP) at Naremburn. This project should include the build of a shared use path from Miller St to Falcon St, connecting to the underpass of Falcon St currently under construction. A concept design for the path, which integrates with the bus layover, has been produced but the government refuses to fund it. This pathway has high strategic value and the RTA has included it on a list of priority 'missing links' but they are refusing to fund it. The pathway should be built as part of the bus layover project, not later, because:
